Dear friends and family of all of us on our first official Bpeace mission to Kabul. Every day we will try to post something here--Kabul Internet connections willing. You can also let us know how you are doing by making a comment to our posts.

I am so thrilled that our first Bpeace mission to Afghanistan is taking place. Thanks to you all, for the time, energy, creative ideas, commitment and resources that you are giving this mission. It is an extraordinary opportunity that you are offering the women of Afghanistan, and I am sure that you will gain so much as well.
Stay in touch with us. ( You can use the computers that Bpeace donated to the Afghan Women's Business Council! ) Have a wonderful experience, stay safe, and enjoy. We will be thinking of you daily, throughout your trip.

Hope everything is going well. Went over to the house to give Jessie a congratulatory hug. She looks great. And an award too!!! So excited to hear what it's like over there in Kabul. So did ya bring the right clothes? Well, at least your hair always looks great. But wait. You have to cover it, right? Hmmm. Miss you. Write if you can, to tell me if things are in relative control. this is laurie: arrived last night. dubai is neon bright by night at at 7:30 this morning solar bright and hot already. looking forward to a day of markets and exploring...getting ready for the flip side in kabul. love to all. jess, ellie good trip to portland. shana, good luck on SAT 2's and soccer try outs. ar/em fun shower. lar love. big kisses to all.

Laurie, So glad you arrived safely! I do hope you can post some pictures? Do you think you could me find me a plate? (just kidding) I posted something yesterday, but I don't think it arrived...How's the place where you are staying? GOod luck honey. I'm immensely impressed. Meg

I miss miss miss you. I loved speaking with you today and hope your flight goes well early tomorrow morning. Oh and tell the chicken I say hi, I hope it's doing well, if it wasn't that would be stinky, literally. But no matter what I will love you...For the most part....Write to me and Have a Blast!!!

Only seeing 3/4s of my e-mails which is probably just as well as I'm not saying anything of profound worth except that I hope you are having a wonderful time, and are safe, and will meet with success at every turn. I would love to get a thumbnail sketch of a candidate you choose. Read the note from Jess. So glad she's great out there in Portland. Gave her a bit of a pep talk before she left. Hello mom,
I told grandma how to use the Blog site, and she is still figuring it out, but says she loves you a lot, and promises to figure it out soon. My neck hurts, and that's about it. Oh and i need to get a drug test for the Clearwater Sloop. I guess I can't take the job, since i won't pass the test...Just Kidding! haha, hmmm, i guess you didn't find that funny. Well anyways I love you and miss you and hope you don't get the chicken toooo dusty, he'll move out if you don't clean him...I hope all of that business is going well(wink) I'm sure it is... I LOVE YOU

Sounds like you had a fantastic day--really on the way now, wow. Your fan club, your rapidly growing fan club up and down the east coast (and Tiburan) is all so impressed and proud. Me too. Especially me. Tonight, Monday, started out a bit slow, but sometime after 10 guess what I found on channel 189? Wrong. I found The Commitiments...and I'm a happy guy--well as happy as I get sans toi. I love and miss you. LAR
